Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Owner’s Manual & User Guide: Seat belt extenders
If, due to body size or driving position, you cannot properly fit the lap/shoulder belt in the Nissan Rogue, a compatible seat belt extender can be purchased for use with the existing seat belts.
The extender adds approximately 8 in (200 mm) of extra length and may be used for either the driver or front passenger seating position. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for assistance in purchasing an extender if one is needed.
WARNING
- Only NISSAN-approved seat belt extenders — manufactured by the same company that produced the original Nissan Rogue seat belts — should be used.
- Adults and children who can safely use the standard seat belt should not use an extender. Unnecessary use may increase the risk of serious injury in a collision.
- Never use a seat belt extender when installing a child restraint. Improper installation can result in serious injury or death in a collision or sudden stop.
Seat belt maintenance
- To clean the seat belt webbing, apply a mild soap solution or a cleaner recommended for interior fabrics. Wipe thoroughly with a cloth and allow the belts to dry completely in the shade.
Do not allow the belts to retract until they are fully dry.
- If dirt accumulates in the shoulder belt guide of the Nissan Rogue seat belt anchors, the belts may retract slowly. Clean the guide using a dry, soft cloth.
- Periodically inspect the seat belts and metal components — buckles, tongues, retractors, wires and anchors — to ensure proper operation.
If you notice loose parts, deterioration, cuts, fraying or any damage on the webbing, the entire seat belt assembly must be replaced.
