Front camera unit

(Front camera unit) 		Diagnosis condition

  • When engine is running

  • When AEB system is ON
Signal (terminal) —
Threshold Temperature around front camera unit is excessively high
Diagnosis delay time 1 second or less

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Interior room temperature is excessively high

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled.

  • Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode

  • Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode

  • Steering wheel assistance function

  • AEB

  • LDW

  • I-LI

  • I-BSI

  • TSR

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

  2. Wait for 10 minutes or more.

  3. Start the engine.

  4. Turn the AEB system ON.

  5. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  6. Check if the “C1F05-4B” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F05-4B” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Interior room temperature is excessively high

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled.

  • Lane keep function*1

  • Lane keep function*2

  • Lane change support function

  • Overtaking support function

  • Route driving support function

  • FEB

  • RAB

  • PFCW

  • LDP

  • Blind Spot Intervention

  • TSR

*1: ProPILOT Assist 2.1 display is green

*2: ProPILOT Assist 2.1 display is blue

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

  2. Wait for 10 minutes or more to cool the front camera unit.

  3. Start the engine.

  4. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  5. Check if the “C1F05-4B” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F05-4B” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair:Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

  1. Erase all self-diagnosis results with CONSULT.

  2. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

  3. Check if the “C1F05-4B” is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”

Is “C1F05-4B” detected?

YES>>

Replace the front camera unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
