Component Function Check

CHECK VDC OFF INDICATOR LAMP FUNCTION (1)

Check that VDC OFF indicator lamp in combination meter turns ON for approximately 1 second after ignition switch is ON.

CAUTION:

Never start engine.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK VDC OFF INDICATOR LAMP FUNCTION (2)

Check that VDC OFF indicator lamp in combination meter turns ON/OFF when VDC setting is changed ON/OFF.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Perform the trouble diagnosis for ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check combination meter.

  • Type A: Refer to On Board Diagnosis Function.

  • Type B: Refer to On Board Diagnosis Function.

NO>>

Repair / replace harness, connector, terminal, fuse, or fusible link.
