INCOMP PROGRAMMING

Threshold When programming to AWD control unit is not complete.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Incomplete programming of AWD control unit

  • AWD control unit

FAIL-SAFE

Although AWD control is canceled, the vehicle can drive at 2WD condition.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING

If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always place ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

GO TO 2.

DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Wait for 15 seconds or more.

  3. Perform "Self diagnosis result" mode of “AWD/4WD”.

Is DTC “U3D02-06” detected?

YES>>

Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM AWD CONTROL UNIT PROGRAMMING

CONSULT

  1. Erase "Self diagnosis result" mode of “AWD/4WD”.

  2. Perform AWD control unit programming. Refer to Description.

    • Suppose the AWD control unit has been replaced.

  3. Ignition switch OFF.

  4. Perform the “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Description.

Is DTC “U3D02-06” detected?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Inspection End.

CHECK TERMINALS AND HARNESS CONNECTORS

Check AWD control unit pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

Is inspection result normal?

YES>>

After placing the ignition switch OFF, perform DTC confirmation procedure again. If DTC “U3D02-06” is detected, replace actuator assembly due to the malfunction of the AWD control unit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.

NO>>

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
