Signal —
Threshold Air bleeding of electro-hydraulic coupling oil was incomplete.
Diagnosis delay time —

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Incomplete air bleeding of electro-hydraulic coupling oil

  • Electro-hydraulic coupling

FAIL-SAFE

Although AWD control is canceled, the vehicle can drive at 2WD condition.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING

If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always place ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

GO TO 2.

DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Erase "Self diagnosis result" mode of “AWD/4WD”.

  2. Ignition switch OFF.

  3. Wait for 10 seconds or more.

  4. Ignition switch ON.

  5. Wait for 15 seconds or more.

  6. Perform "Self diagnosis result" mode of “AWD/4WD”.

Is DTC “C1220-54” detected?

YES>>

Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM AIR BLEEDING AND INITIALIZE OIL DETERIORATION LEVEL

CONSULT

  1. Perform air bleeding and initialize oil deterioration level. Refer to Description.

  2. Ignition switch OFF.

  3. Perform the “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Description.

Is DTC “C1220-54” detected again?

YES>>

Replace electro-hydraulic coupling assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Inspection End.
