DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:

This DTC may be detected when drive the Nissan Ariya vehicle at vehicle speed of 186 MPH (300 km/h) or more.

Signal (terminal) Nissan Ariya Vehicle speed signal
Threshold 186 MPH (300 km/h) or more
Diagnosis delay time 2 seconds or more.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Drive the vehicle at vehicle speed of 186 MPH (300 km/h) or more.

  • ECM

  • Air bag diagnosis sensor unit

FAIL-SAFE

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CHECK SELF DIAGNOSIS RESULT

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Perform “Self diagnosis result” mode of “AIR BAG” using CONSULT.

Is malfunctioning part detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End

Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING:

  • Before servicing, ignition switch OFF, disconnect battery negative terminal, and wait at least 3 minutes or more. (To discharge backup capacitor.)

  • Never use unspecified tester or other measuring device.

REPLACE ECM

  1. Replace ECM. Refer to ECM : Removal & Installation .

  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>
