Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK 12V BATTERY

Check 12V battery. Refer to Work Flow.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK AIR BAG FUSE

Check 10 A fuse [No. 7, located in fuse block (J/B)].

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Replace the fuse.

PERFORM ZERO POINT RESET

  1. Perform zero point reset. Refer to Description.

  2. Check SRS air bag warning lamp operation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End

NO>>

GO TO 4.

CHECK DTC WITH AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

Check that DTC is not detected with air bag diagnosis sensor unit.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Refer to DTC Index.

CHECK DTC WITH COMBINATION METER

Check that DTC is not detected with combination meter.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 6.

NO>>

Refer to DTC Index (Type A meter) or DTC Index (Type B meter).

REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

  1. Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Check SRS air bag warning lamp operation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End

NO>>

GO TO 7.

REPLACE COMBINATION METER

  1. Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation (Type A meter) or Removal and Installation (Type B meter).

  2. Check SRS air bag warning lamp operation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End

NO>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
