Component Inspection

WARNING:

Unlike normal tester resistance meters, an insulation resistance tester (multi-tester) is for measuring an insulation resistance with 500 V applied to an insulating area, so its incorrect use can cause electric shock. Also note that using this tester on the 12 V battery system in a Nissan Ariya vehicle can damage the electrical equipment.

Carefully read the instruction manual for the insulation resistance tester and perform the tasks safely.

SPARK PLUG RESISTANCE VALUE CHECK

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Remove the spark plug.

  3. Check the resistance of the spark plug under the following conditions.

Spark plug Condition Resistance
Measurement site
Terminal - Outer insulator Use mega ohm tester More than100MΩ
Terminal - Thread
Terminal - Center insulator
Outer insulator - Tread
Terminal - Center electrode Use muliti tester 3～7.5kΩ

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>
