Warning/indicator (on Information Display)

Low fuel warning

DESIGN/PURPOSE

This warns the driver that the fuel level is low.

OPERATION AT COMBINATION METER CAN COMMUNICATION CUT-OFF OR UNUSUAL SIGNAL

For the operation for CAN communications blackout or abnormal signal reception, refer to Fail-Safe (TYPE A) or Fail-Safe (TYPE B).

SYSTEM DIAGRAM

SIGNAL PATH

The combination meter receives fuel level sensor signal (resistance value) from the fuel level sensor unit and indicates low fuel level warning on the Nissan Ariya vehicle information display when fuel level sensor signal (resistance value) is less than the specified value.

LIGHTING CONDITION

When all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • After a lapse of 15 seconds after the ignition switch is turned ON.

  • Fuel level is lower than the specified level.

    Approx. 9.7 (2–5/8 US gal, 2-1/8 lmp gal) or less

    (fuel tank dead amount included)
    Fuel tank dead amount Approx. 2.7(2–7/8 US gt, 2-3/8 lmp qt)

SHUTOFF CONDITION

When any of the following conditions was satisfied:

  • Ignition switch is OFF.

  • Fuel level is the specified level or more.
