Component Inspection

CHECK EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect exhaust gas temperature sensor harness connector.

  3. Check resistance between exhaust gas temperature sensor connector terminals.

    Exhaust gas temperature sensor Resistance (kΩ)
    Connector Terminal
    E26 1 2 0.005 - 156

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Replace exhaust gas temperature sensor. Refer to Component Parts Location.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Turn ignition switch ON.

  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  4. Let engine idle for 1 minutes.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Replace exhaust gas temperature sensor. Refer to Component Parts Location.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
