Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Thigh support switch (Up)” and “Thigh support switch (Down)” in “Data monitor” mode of “DRIVER SEAT”.

  3. Check thigh support switch signal under the following conditions.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT SWITCH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect power seat switch LH connector.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between power seat switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

  3. Check continuity between power seat switch LH harness connector and driver seat control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)

Check continuity between power seat switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT SWITCH

Check thigh support switch. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace power seat switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Component Inspection

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT SWITCH

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect power seat switch LH connector.

  3. Check resistance between power seat switch LH terminals.

    Power seat switch LH Condition Resistance: kΩ
    Terminal
    2 4 Thigh support switch Operate (upward) 0.399 – 0.455
    Operate (downward) 0.241 – 0.287
    Release 7.276 – 8.235

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace power seat switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.
