Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK DRIVER SEAT CONTROL UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check driver seat control unit power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK BCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check BCM power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

REPLACE DRIVER SEAT CONTROL UNIT

  1. Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Confirm the operation again.

Does it operate normally?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

Power Seat

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK POWER SEAT SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

Check power seat switch LH ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

REPLACE DRIVER SEAT CONTROL UNIT

  1. Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Confirm the operation again.

Does it operate normally?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

Seat Sliding

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SLIDING MECHANISM

Check for the following.

  • Mechanism deformation or pinched foreign materials.

  • Interference with other parts because of poor installation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK SLIDING SWITCH

Check sliding switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK SLIDING MOTOR

Check sliding motor LH. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

Seat Reclining

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK RECLINING MECHANISM

Check for the following.

  • Mechanism deformation or pinched foreign materials.

  • Interference with other parts because of poor installation.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK RECLINING SWITCH

Check reclining switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK RECLINING MOTOR

Check reclining motor LH. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

Thigh Support

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT MECHANISM

Check for the following.

  • Mechanism deformation or pinched foreign materials.

  • Interference with other parts because of poor installation.

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT SWITCH

Check thigh support switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT MOTOR

Check thigh support motor LH. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

Seat Lifting
