Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Lifting switch (Up)” and “Lifting switch (Down)” in “Data monitor” mode of “DRIVER SEAT”.

  3. Check lifting switch signal under the following conditions.

Lifting switch (Down) Lifting switch Operate (downward) On
Release Off

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect power seat switch LH connector.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between power seat switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

  3. Check continuity between power seat switch LH harness connector and driver seat control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)

Check continuity between power seat switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH

Check lifting switch. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace power seat switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Component Inspection

CHECK LIFTING SWITCH

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect power seat switch LH connector.

  3. Check resistance between power seat switch LH terminals.

    Power seat switch LH Condition Resistance: kΩ
    Terminals
    1 4 Lifting switch Operate (upward) 0.418 – 0.426
    Operate (downward) 0.258 – 0.264
    Release 29.700 – 30.300

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace power seat switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.
