Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Memory switch 1”, “Memory switch 2” and “Set switch” in “Data monitor” mode of “DRIVER SEAT”.

  3. Check seat memory switch signal under the following conditions.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect seat memory switch connector.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between seat memory switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.

  3. Check continuity between seat memory switch harness connector and driver seat control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)

Check continuity between seat memory switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check continuity between seat memory switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

Check seat memory switch. Refer toComponent Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace seat memory switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect seat memory switch connector.

  3. Check continuity between seat memory switch terminals.
