Basic information
Several Driver Assistance features in the Nissan Rogue rely on shared hardware such as cameras and radar units. When warning messages appear or indicator lights flash, inspect the system status. Refer to “System temporarily unavailable” or “System malfunction” in the Owner’s Manual for each system.
For camera and radar temporary blockage
Warning message/Warning light:
"Unavailable Camera Temperature High"
Symptom: Camera overheated
- Possible cause: Direct sunlight or high cabin temperature
- Systems affected: TSR, LDW, I-LI, I-BSI, Steering Assist
- Remedy: Once interior temperature decreases, systems resume automatically. Re-enable I-LI and I-BSI using ProPILOT Assist switch if needed.
Warning message/Warning light:
"Driving Aids temporarily limited – Front Camera Too Hot" and 
Symptom: Camera overheated
- Possible cause: Intense sunlight or hot interior
- Systems affected: AEB with Pedestrian Detection
- Remedy: System auto-recovers once temperature lowers.
Warning message/Warning light:
"Unavailable Low Visibility"
"Driving Aids Temporarily Limited – Poor Visibility"
or 
Symptom: Camera visibility reduced
- Possible cause: Strong sunlight
- Systems affected: Steering Assist, AEB with Pedestrian Detection
- Remedy: System resumes once visibility improves.
Warning message/Warning light:
"Unavailable Low Visibility"
"Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled – Front Camera blocked"
or 
Symptom: Camera obstruction
- Possible cause: Misted, icy or dirty windshield
- Systems affected: Steering Assist, AEB with Pedestrian Detection
- Remedy: Clean the windshield around the camera; use wipers/defroster.
Warning message/Warning light:
"Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled – Front Sensor blocked"

Symptom: Radar obstruction
- Possible cause: Rain, fog, snow or similar conditions
- Systems affected: ICC, AEB with Pedestrian Detection, I-FCW
Warning message/Warning light:
"Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled
Front Sensor blocked

Symptom: Front radar obstruction
- Remedy: Once the obstruction clears, the Nissan Rogue system restores normal operation.
(Push the ProPILOT Assist switch to reactivate ICC.)

"Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled
Front Sensor blocked

Symptom: Front radar obstruction
- Possible cause: Sensor covered with dirt or blocked
- System affected: ICC, AEB with Pedestrian Detection, I-FCW
- Remedy: Clean the radar sensor area on the front of the Nissan Rogue.

"Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled
Front Sensor blocked

Symptom: Front radar obstruction
- Possible cause: Road structures, tight streets or building reflections
- System affected: ICC, AEB with Pedestrian Detection, I-FCW
- Remedy: Once surroundings change, the system resumes automatically.
(Push the ProPILOT Assist switch to turn ICC back on.)
Warning message/Warning light:
"Driving Aids Temporarily limited
Radar interference" and
Illuminating
Symptom: Radar interruption
- Possible cause: Interference from nearby radar equipment
- System affected: ICC, AEB with Pedestrian Detection, I-FCW
- Remedy: Once interference stops, the system resumes automatically.
(Push the ProPILOT Assist switch to restore ICC.)
Warning message/Warning light:
"Unavailable Side Radar Obstruction"
Symptom: Side radar obstruction
- Possible cause: Dirt or blockage near the side radar
- System affected: BSW, I-BSI, RCTA
- Remedy: Clean the rear side radar area. When the obstruction clears, the Nissan Rogue system resumes automatically.
(Push the ProPILOT Assist switch to turn I-BSI back on.)
