Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Service Manual: Basic Inspection :: System Initialization

Description

If any of the following operations are performed, the initialization is necessary for normal operation of power window system. Refer to Work Procedure.

  • When front power window motor (driver side) replaced.

  • Power supply to the front power window motor (driver side) is not cut off properly.

  • Removal and installation of regulator assembly.

  • Removal and installation of front power window motor (driver side) from regulator assembly.

  • Operation of regulator assembly as an independent unit.

  • Removal and installation of door glass.

  • Removal and installation of door glass run.

CAUTION:

The following specified operations cannot be performed under the non-initialized condition:

  • Auto-up operation

  • Anti-pinch function

Work Procedure

STEP 1

  1. Close the door.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Continue pulling the power window switch UP until glass stops at fully closed position then release the switch. *1

  4. Keep pulling the switch for 5 seconds or more. *2

  5. Continue pressing the power window switch DOWN until glass stops then release the switch.

  6. Keep pressing the switch for 5 seconds or more. *2

    After glass moves again, keep pressing the switch until glass reaches the fully open position.

  7. Continue pulling the power window switch UP (MANUAL-UP operation) until glass stops at fully closed position.

  8. Check that AUTO-UP function operates normally.

NOTE:

*1: If the power window stops before reaching the fully closed position: After the power window stops, release the switch then continue pulling the switch UP again and move the power window to the fully closed position.

*2: After keep pulling or pressing 5 seconds or more, glass moves again.

Check anti-pinch function. Refer to Description.
