Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Owner’s Manual & User Guide: Air cleaner

Nissan Rogue air cleaner

To remove the filter on the Nissan Rogue, release the lock pins 1 and pull the unit upward 2.

The viscous paper filter element (if equipped) is not designed to be cleaned and reused. The dry paper type element may be cleaned and reused when its condition allows. Replace the filter according to the maintenance schedule in the “Maintenance and schedules” section.

When installing a new filter, wipe the inside of the air cleaner housing and the cover with a damp cloth.

WARNING

  • Running the engine without the air cleaner filter installed can cause burns or injury. The filter prevents debris from entering the intake and helps stop flame in case of backfire. Never operate the Nissan Rogue with the air cleaner removed.
  • Do not pour fuel into the throttle body or attempt to start the engine with the air cleaner removed, as this can lead to serious injury.
