Component Inspection
CHECK ADMISSION VALVE-1
With CONSULT
-
Turn ignition switch ON (engine stopped).
-
Perform “ADM/V motor target angle” in “Active Test” mode of “ENGINE” using CONSULT.
-
Operate “Up” or “Down”, set “ADM/V Target Angle” to 0 deg, and check value “V1” of “ADMV opening angle”.
Does “V1” become 0.5 ± 0.1 V?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Replace admission valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK ADMISSION VALVE-2
With CONSULT
Operate “Up” or “Down”, set “ADM/V Target Angle” to 70 deg, and check value “V2” of “ADMV opening angle”.
Does “V1” become 3.6 ± 0.25 V?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Replace admission valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK ADMISSION VALVE-3

Turn ignition switch OFF
-
Remove admission valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.
-
Check the resistance between admission valve terminals.
Admission valve Resistance
(Approx.)Terminal 121 122 1 - 100 Ω
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Replace admission valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK ADMISSION VALVE VISUALLY
Check if any foreign objects interferes with admission valve.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>INSPECTION END
NO>>Repair or replace error-detected parts.
