POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (LIN communication circuit is open or shorted.)

  • IPDM E/R

  • 12V battery current sensor

FAIL-SAFE

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

  1. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V when ignition switch ON.

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.

  2. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK 12V BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.

  3. Check the continuity between 12V battery current sensor harness connector and

    12V battery current sensor IPDM E/R Continuity
    Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
    E37 2 E120 37 Existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

CHECK 12V BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR

Check 12V battery current sensor. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Replace 12V battery current sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
