Component Function Check

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP OPERATION

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Flasher” in “Active test” mode of “BCM”.

  3. With operating the test item, check that the turn signal lamp is blinks.

    RH : Turn signal lamps RH blink
    LH : Turn signal lamps LH blink
    LH/RH : Turn signal lamps RH and LH blinks

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Turn signal lamp circuit is normal.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SYMPTOM

Check symptom (A or B)

Symptom
A All of turn signal lamp are not blinks
B Applicable side performs high flasher activation

Which symptom is detected?

A>>

GO TO 2.

B>>

GO TO 4.

CHECK FUSE

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check that the following fuse is not blown (open):

    Battery power supply Fuse block (J/B) 58 15 A

Is the fuse blown (open)?

YES>>

Replace the blown (open) fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown (open).

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK BCM POWER SUPPLY (TURN SIGNAL LAMP)

  1. Disconnect BCM connector.

  2. Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

    With type A meter

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP BULB

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check each turn signal lamp bulb.

NOTE:

Except side turn signal lamp and front turn signal lamp (LED type).

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO-1>>

Front turn signal lamp (bulb type): Replace the corresponding front combination lamp bulb. Refer to Replacement.

NO-2>>

Rear turn signal lamp: Replace the corresponding rear combination lamp (body side) bulb. Refer to Replacement.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP OUTPUT VOLTAGE

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. With operating the turn signal switch, check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

YES>>

GO TO 7.

NO>>

GO TO 6.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (SHORT)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect BCM connector.

  3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

    Front turn signal lamp (with type A meter)

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect BCM connector and each turn signal lamp connector.

  3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and each turn signal lamp harness connector.

Check continuity between each turn signal lamp harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES-1>>

Front turn signal lamp (LED type): Replace the corresponding front combination lamp. Refer to Removal and Installation.

YES-2>>

Front turn signal lamp (bulb type): Replace corresponding front combination lamp bulb. Refer to Replacement.

YES-3>>

Side turn signal lamp: Replace corresponding side turn signal lamp. Refer to Removal and Installation.

YES-4>>

Rear turn signal lamp: Check corresponding rear combination lamp (body side) sub harness, if there is a malfunction, repair or replace. If there is no malfunction, replace the corresponding rear combination lamp (body side) bulb. Refer to Replacement.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.
