Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Service Manual: Symptom Diagnosis :: Remote Engine Start Function Does Not Operate

Description

Engine does not start when operating REMOTE ENGNE START button of Intelligent Key.

NOTE:

Check that vehicle is under the condition shown in “Conditions of Nissan Ariya vehicle” before starting diagnosis, and check each symptom.

Conditions of Vehicle (Operating Conditions)

• Shift position is in P position.

• Vehicle security system is not in operation.

• Registered Intelligent Key is not in the Nissan Ariya vehicle.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY FUNCTION)

Lock/unlock door with Intelligent Key. Refer to System Description.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Check Intelligent Key system (remote keyless entry function). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK HOOD SWITCH

Check hood switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 3.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK DOOR SWITCH

Check door switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 4.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK HAZARD SWITCH

Check hazard switch. Refer to Component Function Check.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 5.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

REPLACE BCM

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Is the inspection result normal?

Inspection End.

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
