Description
Moonroof and sunshade do not operate normally.
-
Moonroof tilt up/down, open/close or sunshade open/close does not operate.
-
Moonroof tilt up/down, open/close or sunshade open/close operation is slow.
-
Judder occurs during open/close operation of moonroof and sunshade.
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK GLASS LID
Check the following items:
-
Cracks, damage, or deformation of weather-strip.
-
Sticking of weather-strip.
-
Loose or missing glass lid mounting bolt.
-
Misalignment of glass lid.
Refer to Adjustment.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK MOONROOF UNIT ASSEMBLY
Check the following items:
-
Damage, deformation or trapped foreign material of slide rail.
-
Insufficient application of grease to sliding section of slide rail.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK SUNSHADE
Check sunshade for damage, deformation, of interference with other parts.
Refer to Removal and Installation.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK BCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check BCM power supply and ground circuit.
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK MOONROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check moonroof motor assembly power supply and ground circuit.
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 6.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK SUNSHADE MOTOR ASSEMBLY POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check sunshade motor assembly power supply and ground circuit.
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 7.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
Check LIN communication circuit.

Moonroof motor assembly: Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Sunshade motor assembly: Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 8.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
Check communication circuit.
Refer to Component Function Check.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 9
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH AND SUNSHADE SWITCH
Check moonroof switch and sunshade switch.

Moonroof switch: Refer to Component Function Check.

Sunshade switch: Refer to Component Function Check.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO>>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
