Push-Button Ignition Switch Does Not Operate
Diagnosis Procedure
Description
Check that vehicle is under the condition shown in “Conditions of vehicle” before starting diagnosis, and check each symptom.
NOTE:
The engine start function, door lock function, power distribution system, and NATS-IVIS/NVIS in the Intelligent Key system are closely related to each other regarding control. The Nissan Ariya vehicle security function can operate only when the door lock and power distribution system are operating normally.
Conditions of Vehicle (Operating Conditions)

One or more of Intelligent Keys with registered Intelligent Key ID is in the vehicle.
CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (DOOR LOCK FUNCTION)
Operate door request switch and check that door lock/unlock operates.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2
NO>>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
PERFORM WORK SUPPORTS
CONSULT
Select “Inside/outside antenna diagnosis” in "Work supports" mode of "INTELLIGENT KEY".
NO>>
GO TO 3
CHECK SELF DIAGNOSIS RESULT
CONSULT
Select “Self diagnosis result” mode of “INTELLIGENT KEY”.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>Refer to DTC Index.
NO>>GO TO 4.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT
Check push-button ignition switch circuit. Refer to Component Function Check.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
REPLACE INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT

Replace Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Confirm the operation again.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Inspection End.
NO>>Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
