DTC DETECTION LOGIC

Sub starter & generator

  • Engine restart

  • Nissan Ariya Vehicle speed above 4.9 MPH (8 km/h)
Signal (terminal) Battery voltage
Threshold 12 V battery voltage decreases to 8 V or less
Diagnosis delay time 1 second or less

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (12V battery voltage circuits are open or short circuit)

  • 12V battery

FAIL-SAFE

Inhibit the idle start/stop system

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Start the engine and let it idle and wait for 1 second or more.

  2. Wait for 1 second or more.

  3. Select “Self diagnosis result” mode of “Sub starter & generator”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK 12V BATTERY

Check 12V battery. Refer to Work Flow.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace 12V battery. Refer to Removal and Installation.
