DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

ECM detects a difference between signals from ADAS control unit is out of specified range.

  • Harness or connectors (The CAN communication line is open or shorted.)

DTC Confirmation Procedure

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC P1568 is displayed with DTC UXXXX, P0605 or P0607, first perform the confirmation procedure for DTC UXXXX, P0605 or P0607.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

  • DTC UXXXX: Refer to DTC Index.

  • DTC P0605: Refer to DTC Description.

  • DTC P0607: Refer to DTC Description.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

  1. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TESTING CONDITION:

Step 4 may be conducted with the drive wheels lifted in the shop or by driving the Nissan Ariya vehicle. If a road test is expected to be easier, it is unnecessary to lift the vehicle.

With ASCD: GO TO 3.

>>

With ProPILOT Assist 1.1/2.1: GO TO 4.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Press MAIN switch on ProPILOT Assist 1.1/2.1 steering switch.

  3. Drive the Nissan Ariya vehicle at more than 40 km/h (25 MPH).

    CAUTION:

    Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.

  4. Press SET- switch.

  5. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

REPLACE ADAS CONTROL UNIT

  1. Replace ADAS control unit.

  2. Refer to Work Procedure (With ProPILOT Assist 2.1) or Work Procedure (Without ProPILOT Assist 2.1).

  3. Check DTC of ADAS control unit. Refer to DTC Index (With ProPILOT Assist 2.1) or DTC Index (Without ProPILOT Assist 2.1).
