Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Owner’s Manual & User Guide: Basic information

WARNING

Improper loading or overloading of a trailer can negatively impact vehicle handling, braking, and overall performance, increasing the risk of an accident.

CAUTION

  • Do not tow a trailer or haul heavy loads during the first 500 miles (800 km) of vehicle operation. Doing so may damage the engine, axle, or other components.
  • For the first 500 miles (800 km) of towing, do not exceed 50 MPH (80 km/h) and avoid full-throttle starts. This helps essential components in your Nissan Rogue adapt to the additional load.

Your vehicle is designed primarily for transporting passengers and cargo. Towing a trailer places extra stress on the engine, drivetrain, steering, braking, and other systems, so proper preparation is essential.

A NISSAN Towing Guide (U.S. only) is available at www.nissanusa.com. The guide provides important information on trailer towing capability and the required equipment for towing safely with the Nissan Rogue.
