ASCD SW

(ProPILOT Assist SW) 		Diagnosis condition —
Signal (terminal) ProPILOT Assist steering switch signal
Threshold ECM detects that input signal from the ProPILOT Assist steering switch is out of the specified range
Diagnosis delay time —

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (ProPILOT Assist steering switch circuit is open or shorted.)

  • ProPILOT Assist steering switch

  • ECM

FAIL-SAFE

Not applicable

DTC Confirmation Procedure

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC P1564 is displayed with other DTC, first perform the trouble diagnosis for other DTC.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

  1. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

GO TO 3.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Wait at least 10 seconds.

  3. Press MAIN switch for at least 10 seconds, then release it and wait at least 10 seconds.

  4. Press CANCEL switch for at least 10 seconds, then release it and wait at least 10 seconds.

  5. Press RES+ switch for at least 10 seconds, then release it and wait at least 10 seconds.

  6. Press SET— switch for at least 10 seconds, then release it and wait at least 10 seconds.

  7. Press DISTANCE switch for at least 10 seconds, then release it and wait at least 10 seconds.

  8. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK PROPILOT ASSIST STEERING SWITCH

Check ProPILOT Assist steering switch. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END.

NO>>

Repair or replace the error-detected parts.
