DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Check 1st trip DTC.

Is DTC P11AB detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK VCR ACTUATOR

With CONSULT

  1. On CONSULT screen, select “ENGINE”>>“Active Test”>>“VCR system”.

Is DTC P11AB detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK VCR MOTOR

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect VCR control module harness connector.

  3. Check the continuity between VCR control module harness connectors.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace VCR control module. Refer to VCR CONTROL MODULE : Removal & Installation.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK VCR MOTOR CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect VCR motor harness connector.

  2. Check the continuity between VCR control module harness connectors and VCR motor harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

CHECK VCR MOTOR

YES>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
