EVAP system purge line

(EVAP System Purge Line Performance) 		Diagnosis condition During fuel cut after engine warm-up
Signal (terminal) Mass air flow sensor signal
Threshold Signal voltage from mass air flow sensor signal is lower than threshold value.
Diagnosis delay time 1 second

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Disconnection of hose between PCV valve and air duct

  • EVAP purge line clogging

FAIL-SAFE

Engine Control System

ECM stops fuel vapor purging (EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is closed)

Stop/Start System

Not applicable

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

  1. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TEST CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V at ignition switch ON.

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.

  2. Drive the Nissan Ariya vehicle at 10 km/h (6 MPH) or more for at least 15 minutes.

  3. Accelerate the vehicle to 60 km/h (38 MPH) and maintain the speed.

  4. Release the accelerator pedal fully at least 5 seconds.

  5. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK HOSE BETWEEN PCV VALVE AND AIR DUCT

Check hose between PCV valve and air duct connection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
