Moonroof Switch Assembly (moonroof Switch)

Component Function Check

CHECK MOONROOF FUNCTION

Check moonroof tilt up/down, open/close operations with moonroof switch.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect moonroof switch assembly connector.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect moonroof motor assembly connector.

  3. Check continuity between moonroof motor assembly harness connector and moonroof switch assembly harness connector.

  4. Check continuity between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

YES>>

Replace moonroof motor assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check continuity between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace the harness.

CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH

Check moonroof switch.

Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace moonroof switch assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Component Inspection

CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect moonroof switch assembly connector.

  3. Check continuity moonroof switch assembly terminals under the following conditions:

    9 10 Moonroof switch OPEN Yes
    Other than above No
    8 Moonroof switch CLOSE Yes
    Other than above No
    2 Moonroof switch PUSH Yes
    Other than above No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace moonroof switch assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Sunshade Switch

Component Function Check

CHECK SUNSHADE FUNCTION

Check sunshade open/close operations with sunshade switch.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SUNSHADE SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect moonroof switch assembly connector.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

CHECK SUNSHADE SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sunshade motor assembly connector.

  3. Check continuity between sunshade motor assembly harness connector and moonroof switch assembly harness connector.

  4. Check continuity between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

Replace sunshade motor assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK SUNSHADE SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check continuity between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace the harness.

CHECK SUNSHADE SWITCH

Check sunshade switch.

Refer to Component Inspection.

Replace moonroof switch assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Disconnect moonroof switch assembly connector.

  3. Check continuity moonroof switch assembly terminals under the following conditions:
