Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Door lock and unlock switch (lock)”, “Door lock and unlock switch (unlock)” in “Data monitor” mode of "BCM [INT LAMP]".

  3. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions.

UNLOCK On

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Door lock/unlock switch LH is OK.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect door lock/unlock switch LH connector.

  3. Check voltage between door lock/unlock switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect BCM connector.

  2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and door lock/unlock switch LH harness connector.

    With Type B Meter
    BCM Door lock/unlock switch LH Continuity

    With Type A Meter
    BCM Door lock/unlock switch LH Continuity

  3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

    With Type B Meter
    BCM — Continuity
    Connector Terminal
    M18 11 Ground No

    With Type B Meter

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between door lock/unlock switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH

Check door lock/unlock switch LH. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Replace door lock/unlock switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to Intermittent Incident.

YES>>

Inspection End.

Component Inspection

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect door lock/unlock switch LH connector.

  3. Check continuity between door lock/unlock switch LH terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect door lock/unlock switch RH connector.

  3. Check voltage between door lock/unlock switch RH harness connector and ground.

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect BCM connector.

  2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and door lock/unlock switch RH harness connector.

    With Type B Meter

  3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Check continuity between door lock/unlock switch RH harness connector and ground.

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH

Check door lock/unlock switch RH. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Replace door lock/unlock switch RH. Refer to Removal and Installation.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to Intermittent Incident.

YES>>

Inspection End.
