DTC Description

NOTE:

The Signal Tech II Tool [– (NI-50190)] can be used to perform the following functions: Refer to the Signal Tech II User Guide for additional information.

  • Activate and display TPMS sensor IDs

  • Display tire pressure reported by the TPMS sensor

  • Read TPMS DTCs

  • Register TPMS sensor IDs

(Tire pressure sensor no data front right) 		Diagnosis condition Drive at a speed of 25 MPH (40 km/h) or more reaches 10 minutes in total.
Signal (terminal) Tire pressure sensor signal.
Threshold Tire pressure data signal from the front right tire pressure sensor cannot be detected.
Diagnosis delay time 10 minutes or more.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Driving in area with radio interference

  • Front right tire pressure sensor ID registration incomplete

  • Front right tire pressure sensor

  • Harness or connectors

  • BCM

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID REGISTRATION

CONSULT

Perform tire pressure sensor ID registration. Refer to Description.

Can the tire pressure sensor ID registration be completed?

>>

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION

CONSULT

  1. Drive the Nissan Ariya vehicle at 25 MPH (40 km/h) or more until reaching 10 minutes in total.

    NOTE:

    Avoid driving in areas with radio interference.

  2. Stop the Nissan Ariya vehicle.

  3. Perform “Self diagnosis result” mode of “BCM”.

Is DTC “C1742-21” detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

NOTE:

The Signal Tech II Tool [– (NI-50190)] can be used to perform the following functions: Refer to the Signal Tech II User Guide for additional information.

  • Activate and display TPMS sensor IDs

  • Display tire pressure reported by the TPMS sensor

  • Read TPMS DTCs

  • Register TPMS sensor IDs

CHECK TIRE PRESSURE SIGNAL

CONSULT

  1. Select "Air pressure-front right" in "Data monitor" mode of "BCM [AIR PRESSURE MONITOR]".

  2. Check that the front right tire pressures match the standard value. Refer to Reference Value .

    NOTE:

    BCM holds last tire pressure values during 17 minutes after ignition switch is placed OFF.

Are all tire pressures displayed 0 kPa (psi)?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK BCM POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Check BCM power supply circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID REGISTRATION

Perform tire pressure sensor ID registration. Refer to Description.

Can the tire pressure sensor ID registration be completed?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Replace applicable front right tire pressure sensor. Refer to Removal & Installation.

RECHECK TIRE PRESSURE SIGNAL

CONSULT

  1. Drive the Nissan Ariya vehicle at 25 MPH (40 km/h) or more reaches 10 minutes in total.

    NOTE:

    Avoid driving in areas with radio interference.

  2. Stop the Nissan Ariya vehicle.

  3. Select "Air pressure-front right" in "Data monitor" mode of "BCM [AIR PRESSURE MONITOR]".

  4. Check that the front right tire pressures match the standard value. Refer to Reference Value .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

After erasing DTC record, Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
