(Anti-lock braking system/Traction control system/Nissan Ariya Vehicle dynamics control system circuit)
Diagnosis condition
  • When engine is running

  • When AEB system is ON

Signal (terminal) CAN communication signal
Threshold If the Nissan Ariya vehicle speed signal (wheel speed) from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) and the output speed sensor signal from TCM, received by the ADAS control unit 2 via CAN communication, are inconsistent
Diagnosis delay time 1 second or less

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Wheel speed sensor

  • ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)

  • Output speed sensor

  • TCM

  • ADAS control unit 2

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled.

  • Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode

  • Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode

  • Steering wheel assistance function

  • AEB

  • RAB

  • I-FCW

  • LDW

  • I-LI

  • BSW

  • I-BSI

  • RCTA

  • TSR

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC “C1F48-62” is displayed with Network-DTC, “C1F48-04” first diagnose the Network-DTC, “C1F48-04”.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

  • Network-DTC: Refer to DTC Index.

  • C1F48-04: Refer to DTC Description.

NO>>

GO TO 2 .

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Turn the AEB system ON.

  3. Drive the Nissan Ariya vehicle at 30 km/h (19 MPH) or more.

    CAUTION:

    Always drive safely.

  4. Stop the Nissan Ariya vehicle.

  5. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  6. Check if the “C1F48-62” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F48-62” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

  • ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)

  • ADAS control unit 2

FAIL-SAFE

The following system are cancelled.

  • Vehicle speed & vehicle-to-vehicle control function

  • Lane keep function*1

  • Lane keep function*2

  • Lane change support function

  • Overtaking support function

  • Route driving support function

  • FEB

  • RAB

  • PFCW

  • TSR

*1: ProPILOT Assist 2.1 display is green

*2: ProPILOT Assist 2.1 display is blue

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC “C1F48-62” is displayed with Network-DTC, first diagnose the Network-DTC.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Turn the MAIN switch of ProPILOT Assist 2.1 system ON.

  3. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  4. Check if the “C1F48-62” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F48-62” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC “C1F48-62” is displayed with Network-DTC, “C1F48-04” first diagnose the Network-DTC, “C1F48-04”.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

  • Network-DTC: Refer to DTC Index.

  • C1F48-04: Refer to DTC Description.

NO>>

GO TO 2. .

CHECK TCM SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

  1. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

  2. Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “TRANSMISSION”.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ABS”.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

Replace the ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.
