POSSIBLE CAUSE
The power supply in the system is too low.
FAIL-SAFE
Although AWD control is canceled, the vehicle can drive at 2WD condition.
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
PRECONDITIONING
If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always place ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE
CONSULT

Ignition switch ON.
-
Drive at 10 km/h (6 MPH) or more for approximately 5 minutes in urban areas.
-
Stop the Nissan Ariya vehicle.
-
Perform "Self diagnosis result" mode of “AWD/4WD”.
Is DTC “C1213-A2” detected?
YES>>Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO-1>>To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO-2>>Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.
DTC Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Perform the trouble diagnosis of the power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Repair or replace error-detected parts.
CHECK TERMINALS AND HARNESS CONNECTORS
Check AWD control unit pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>After placing the ignition switch OFF, perform DTC confirmation procedure again. If DTC “C1213-A2” is detected, replace actuator assembly due to the malfunction of the AWD control unit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly .
NO>>Repair or replace error-detected parts.
