Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Owner’s Manual & User Guide: Brakes

Basic information

If the brakes on your Nissan Rogue do not operate correctly, it is recommended to have the system inspected by a NISSAN dealer.

Self-adjusting brakes

The vehicle uses self-adjusting disc brakes, which adjust automatically each time the brake pedal is pressed.

WARNING

Have the brake system checked if the brake pedal height does not return to normal. It is recommended you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.

Brake pad wear warning

The disc brake pads include an audible warning indicator. When pads require replacement, a high-pitched scraping noise may be heard while the Nissan Rogue is moving. At first, the noise appears only during braking; later, it may occur even without pressing the pedal.

Occasional brake squeal or noise can occur depending on driving or climate conditions and does not necessarily indicate a malfunction.

Follow the recommended brake inspection intervals described in the “Maintenance and schedules” section.
