POSSIBLE CAUSE

8CH CAN gateway

FAIL-SAFE

  • Voice recognition vehicle control (ROOF OPENING, ELECTRICAL SIDE DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING, REAR GATE OPENING, etc.) does not work.

  • Remote function (Remote Door lock/unlock, Remote horn & lights control, Remote Engine start, etc.) does not work.

Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds or more.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “8ch CAN GATEWAY 2” using CONSULT.

  3. Check DTC.

Is DTC B261E-56 detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Intermittent Incident

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM PROGRAMMING OF 8CH CAN GATEWAY

Perform 8CH CAN gateway programming. Refer to Work Procedure.

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to Confirmation Procedure.

  3. Check DTC.

Is DTC B261E-56 displayed?

YES>>

Replace 8CH CAN gateway. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
