DTC Description

DESCRIPTION

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real-time application. It is an onNissan Ariya vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many electronic control units are equipped onto a Nissan Ariya vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independently). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN-H, CAN-L) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only. CAN Communication Signal Chart. Refer to CAN Communication Signal Chart.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “IVC” using CONSULT.

  5. Check DTC.

Is DTC U0079-00 detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

WITH CONSULT

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Erase DTC.

  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  4. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds or more.

  5. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “MULTI AV” using CONSULT.

  6. Check DTC.

Is DTC "U0079–00" detected?

YES>>

Perform the trouble diagnosis for CAN communication system. Refer to CAN Communication Signal Chart.

NO>>
