Component Inspection

CHECK STEERING ASSIST SWITCH

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Check the display of "Switch2" in data monitor item of "ICC/ADAS 2" under the following conditions.

    Monitor item Measurement condition Reference value/Condition
    Switch2 press steering assist switch ON
    Except the above OFF

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SIGNAL CIRCUIT OF STEERING ASSIST SWITCH

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect steering assist switch connector.

  3. Disconnect ADAS control unit 2 connector.

  4. Check continuity between Nissan Ariya vehicle side harness connectors of ADAS control unit 2 and steering assist switch.

  5. Check continuity between Nissan Ariya vehicle side harness connector of ADAS control unit 2 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair harness or connector.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT OF STEERING ASSIST SWITCH

Check continuity between Nissan Ariya vehicle side harness connector of steering assist switch and ground.

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair harness or connector.

CHECK STEERING ASSIST SWITCH UNIT

Check steering assist switch unit. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

INSPECTION END

NO>>

Replace steering assist switch. Refer to STEERING ASSIST SWITCH : Removal & Installation.

Component Function Check

CHECK STEERING ASSIST SWITCH

Check resistance between terminals of steering assist switch.

When not pressing steering assist switch Not exist

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>
