P025A 00

FUEL PUMP MODULE A

(Fuel Pump Module "A" Control Circuit/Open) 		Diagnosis condition The ignition switches on and the engine stops.
Signal (terminal) Fuel pump relay signal
Threshold When ECM detects open circuit depending on fuel pump relay operating voltage.
Diagnosis delay time ―

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (circuit is open)

  • ECM internal malfunction

FAIL-SAFE

Not applicable

DTC Confirmation Procedure

PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Turn ignition switch ON.

  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

YES>>

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 15 seconds.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FUEL PUMP

Check fuel pump. Refer to Component Inspection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Erase DTC.

  3. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.

Is the DTC P025A displayed again?

YES>>

Replace ECM. Refer to ECM : Removal & Installation.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
