Rain sensor

(Rain sensor) 		Diagnosis condition Ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal) —
Threshold Rain and light sensor internal malfunction.
Diagnosis delay time 2 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Rain and light sensor

FAIL SAFE

  • Turns ON the headlamp (low)

  • Turns OFF high beam assist

  • Turns OFF rain sensing front wipers

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self diagnosis result” mode of “BCM”.

  3. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

REPLACE RAIN AND LIGHT SENSOR

Replace rain and light sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
