Diagnosis delay time 1.5 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (rear seat heater RH ground circuit is open)

  • Seat cushion heater RH

  • Rear seat back heater RH

FAIL-SAFE

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Select “Self diagnosis result” mode of “HVAC”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER RH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect rear seat heater RH connector.

  3. Check continuity between rear seat heater RH harness connector and ground.

    Rear seat heater RH — Continuity
    Connector Terminal
    B406 2 Ground Yes

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK REAR SEAT BACK HEATER RH CIRCUIT (OPEN)

Check continuity between rear seat back heater RH harness connector and rear seat heater RH harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Replace seat cushion heater RH. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.

CHECK REAR SEAT BACK HEATER RH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Disconnect rear seat back heater RH connector.

  2. Check continuity between rear seat back heater RH harness connector and rear seat heater RH harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace rear seat back heater RH. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.

NO>>

Replace seat cushion heater RH. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
