DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CHECK SELF DIAGNOSIS RESULT

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Perform “Self diagnosis result” mode of “AIR BAG” using CONSULT.

Is malfunctioning part detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End

Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING:

  • Before servicing, ignition switch OFF, disconnect battery negative terminal, and wait at least 3 minutes or more. (To discharge backup capacitor.)

  • Never use unspecified tester or other measuring device.

PERFORM COLLISION DIAGNOSIS

Perform collision diagnosis. Refer to When SRS is activated in a collision or When SRS is not activated in a collision.

GO TO 2.

REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

When DTC B12B5-97 is detected, replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit.
