Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Service Manual: Charge Air Cooler

Exploded View

	Charge air cooler		Charge air cooler Bracket 1		Turbocharger boost sensor (with intake air temperature sensor 2)
	O-ring		Electronic throttle control actuator gasket		Charge air cooler Bracket 2
	Air inlet hose
	To reservoir tank. Refer to Exploded View.		To sub radiator. Refer to Exploded View.		To turbocharger. Refer to Exploded View..
	Comply with the installation procedure when tightening. Refer to Removal and Installation.
	: Always replace after every disassembly.
	: Should be lubricated with oil.
	: N·m (kg-m, in-lb)

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Drain charge air cooler coolant. Refer to Draining.

Remove engine cover. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Remove resonator. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Remove air inlet hose.

Disconnect reservoir tank hose (1) from charge air cooler.

Disconnect MAP sensor harness connector (A), and disconnect MAP sensor harness connector clamp (B).

Disconnect resonator bracket bolts (A), and remove resonator bracket.

: Engine front

Disconnect reservoir tank hose 2 clamp (A) from charge air cooler.

Remove bracket for engine cover. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Disconnect mounting bolts (A), and remove charge air cooler bracket 2 and charge air cooler bracket 1.

: Nissan Ariya Vehicle front

Remove bolt (A) that is tightened together with the electric throttle control actuator.

: Engine front

Remove charge air cooler.

INSTALLATION

Install the charge air cooler inlet tube assembly turbocharger side.

Install the charge air cooler inlet tube assembly charge air cooler side.

Temporarily tighten the bolts in the 4 places by hand, until each bolt (A) becomes seated on its respective seating surface.

: Nissan Ariya Vehicle front

Tighten the electric throttle control actuator bolt (A) until it hits the charge air cooler assembly.

Tighten the bolts. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Tighten the charge air cooler bracket bolt in order of to shown in the figure (specified torque).

Charge air cooler bracket bolt	: 22.5 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17 ft-lb)
	: Nissan Ariya Vehicle front

Install in the reverse order of removal after this step.
