Distance sensor

Diagnosis condition When engine is running
Signal (terminal)
Threshold Distance sensor is off the alignment point
Diagnosis delay time 1 second or less

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Radar alignment is off the aiming point

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled.

  • Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode

  • Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode

  • Steering wheel assistance function

  • AEB

  • I-FCW

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  3. Check if the “C1F5F–78” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F5F–78” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

  • Overtaking support function

  • Route driving support function

  • FEB

  • PFCW

  • TSR

*1: ProPILOT Assist 2.1 display is green

*2: ProPILOT Assist 2.1 display is blue

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  3. Check if the “C1F5F–78” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F5F–78” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

CHECK DISTANCE SENSOR SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

  1. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

  2. Check if the “C1F5F–78” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “LASER/RADAR”.

Is “C1F5F–78” detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Description.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

Check if the “C1F5F–78” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is “C1F5F–78” detected?

YES>>

Replace ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
