Stop the obstacle detection function
CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
With CONSULT

Turn ignition switch ON.
-
Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.
-
Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.
-
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR” using CONSULT.
-
Check the DTC.
Is DTC “B2738-87” detected?
YES>>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO-1>>To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO-2>>Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK SONAR CONTROL UNIT CONNECTOR AND EACH FRONT SONAR SENSOR CONNECTOR
Check the terminals and connectors of each front sonar sensor and sonar control unit for damage, bends, and looseness.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Repair or replace applicable malfunctioning parts.
CHECK OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN SONAR CONTROL UNIT AND SENSOR

Turn ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect sonar control unit connector and each front sonar sensor connector.

Check continuity between sonar control unit harness connector and each front sonar sensor harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Repair harness or connector.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Perform intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace the sonar control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Repair or replace the applicable malfunctioning parts.
