Diagnosis delay time 4 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness and connector between sonar control unit and rear sonar sensor LH inner

  • Rear sonar sensor LH inner

FAIL-SAFE

Stop the obstacle detection function

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR” using CONSULT.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC “B2721–88” detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK REAR SONAR SENSOR SIGNAL LH INNER CIRCUIT (1)

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sonar control unit connector and rear sonar sensor LH inner connector.

  3. Turn ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between sonar control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair harness or connector.

CHECK REAR SONAR SENSOR SIGNAL LH INNER CIRCUIT (2)

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check continuity between rear sonar sensor LH inner harness connector and ground.

B459 2 Not existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

With CONSULT

  1. Connect sonar control unit connector and rear sonar sensor LH inner connector.

  2. Turn ignition switch ON.

  3. Erase DTC.

  4. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC Description.

Is DTC B2721-88 detected again?

YES>>

Replace the rear sonar sensor LH inner. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
