Threshold Short circuit to power supply
Diagnosis delay time 4 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness and connector between sonar control unit and front sonar sensor RH outer

  • Front sonar sensor RH outer

FAIL-SAFE

Stop the obstacle detection function

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR” using CONSULT.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC “B272C–12” detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FRONT SONAR SENSOR SIGNAL RH OUTER CIRCUIT (1)

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sonar control unit connector and front sonar sensor RH outer connector.

  3. Turn ignition switch ON.

  4. Check voltage between sonar control unit harness connector and ground.

    B20 4 Ground 0 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair harness or connector.

CHECK FRONT SONAR SENSOR SIGNAL RH OUTER CIRCUIT (2)

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check continuity between front sonar sensor RH outer harness connector and ground.

E307 2 Not existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace the front sonar sensor RH outer. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.
