Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.

  3. Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).

    • Active noise control unit

    • BCM

Is the inspection result normal?

YES-1>>

With type B meter: GO TO 2.

YES-2>>

With type A meter: GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair the terminal and connector.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

  1. Disconnect the connector of BCM.

  2. Check the continuity between the BCM harness connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Check the harness and repair the root cause (Nissan Ariya vehicle CAN communication 2 circuit side). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

  1. Disconnect the connector of 8CH CAN gateway.

  2. Check the continuity between the 8CH CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Check the harness and repair the root cause (IT CAN communication 1 circuit side). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

  1. Connect the following connectors.

    • BCM (With type B meter)

    • 8CH CAN gateway (With type A meter)

  2. Disconnect the connector of active noise control unit.

  3. Check the resistance between the active noise control unit harness connector terminals.

Is the measurement value within the specification?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Repair the active noise control unit branch line.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the active noise control unit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES (Present error)>>

Replace the active noise control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

YES (Past error)>>

Error was detected in the active noise control unit branch line.

NO>>

Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
