Brake warning light
or

This light functions for both the parking brake and the foot brake systems, helping the driver of the Nissan Rogue stay aware of braking performance.
Low brake fluid warning light:
When the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, the brake warning light illuminates and then turns off. If the light comes on while the engine is running and the parking brake is not applied, stop the Nissan Rogue and perform the following:
1. Check the brake fluid level. If brake fluid is necessary, add fluid and have the system checked. It is recommended you have this service performed by a NISSAN dealer.
2. If the brake fluid level is correct, have the warning system checked. It is recommended you have this service performed by a NISSAN dealer.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) warning indicator:
When the parking brake is released and the brake fluid level is sufficient, if both the brake warning light and the ABS warning light illuminate, it may indicate the ABS is not functioning properly. Have the brake system inspected on your Nissan Rogue and repaired if necessary. It is recommended you visit a NISSAN dealer.
WARNING
Your brake system may not be working properly if the warning light is on. Driving could be dangerous. If you judge it to be safe, drive carefully to the nearest service station for repairs. Otherwise, have your vehicle towed to avoid further risk.
Pressing the brake pedal with the engine stopped and/or low brake fluid level may increase your stopping distance and require greater pedal effort.
If the brake fluid level is below the MIN mark on the reservoir, do not drive the Nissan Rogue until the brake system has been checked. It is recommended you visit a NISSAN dealer.
Charge warning light

When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the charge warning light illuminates and then turns off.
If the light illuminates while the engine is running, it may indicate the charging system is not functioning properly. Turn the engine off and check the alternator or starter generator belt. If the belt is loose, broken, missing, or if the light remains on, have your Nissan Rogue serviced immediately at a NISSAN dealer.
CAUTION
Do not continue driving if the alternator or starter generator belt is loose, broken, or missing.
Electric shift control system warning light

When the ignition switch is in the ON position, this light illuminates and then turns off, indicating the system is operating normally.
If a malfunction occurs in the electric shift control system, the light will remain illuminated. When the master warning light appears and the chime sounds with the message “When parked apply parking brake,” ensure the brake is applied.
If the chime continues after switching the ignition OFF, have the Nissan Rogue inspected by a NISSAN dealer.
Electronic parking brake warning light
or

This light indicates that the electronic parking brake system is operating.
When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the electronic parking brake warning light illuminates. It turns off after the engine is started and the parking brake is released.
If the light stays on or flashes—especially along with the system warning light—it may indicate improper operation of the electronic parking brake system. Have the Nissan Rogue inspected by a NISSAN dealer.
Engine oil pressure warning light

This light warns of low engine oil pressure.
When the ignition is ON, the light illuminates and turns off after the engine starts. If it illuminates or blinks while driving, oil pressure may be low.
Stop the Nissan Rogue safely as soon as possible, turn off the engine, and contact a NISSAN dealer.
CAUTION
Running the engine with low oil pressure can cause severe engine damage.
This light does not indicate low oil level—only low oil pressure.
Hands OFF warning light (if so equipped)

When Steering Assist is active, the system monitors steering input.
If the driver removes their hands from the wheel, the warning displays, followed by audible alerts and braking prompts. If the driver remains unresponsive, the Nissan Rogue will slow to a controlled stop with hazard lights activated.
Master warning light

This light illuminates when a warning message appears in the vehicle information display.
Seat belt warning light and chime

The light and chime remind occupants to fasten their seat belts.
The warning illuminates when the ignition is ON and the driver’s or front passenger’s seat belt is not fastened.
It will also illuminate if a rear seat occupant unfastens their seat belt.
If the vehicle exceeds 9 MPH (15 km/h) with belts unfastened, the warning will blink and chime for over a minute.
NOTE:
The warning light and/or chime may activate if an object is placed in the unoccupied front passenger seat. In this case, remove the object from the front passenger seat to ensure the Nissan Rogue systems operate correctly.
The warning light and/or chime may also activate if any seat belt is unfastened before the vehicle comes to a complete stop. Please keep the seat belts fastened until the Nissan Rogue is fully stopped.
Supplemental air bag warning light
After placing the ignition switch in the ON position, the supplemental air bag warning light will illuminate. The light will turn off after about 7 seconds if the supplemental front air bag, supplemental side air bag, curtain air bag systems and/or pretensioner seat belt are operational.
If any of the following conditions occur, the front air bag, side air bag, curtain air bag and pretensioner systems need servicing:
The supplemental air bag warning light remains on after approximately 7 seconds.
The supplemental air bag warning light flashes intermittently.
The supplemental air bag warning light does not illuminate at all.
It is recommended you visit a NISSAN dealer for these services.
Unless checked and repaired, the Supplemental Restraint Systems and/or the pretensioners may not function properly.
WARNING
If the supplemental air bag warning light is on, it could mean that the front air bag, side air bag, curtain air bag and/or pretensioner systems will not operate in an accident. To help avoid injury to yourself or others, have your vehicle checked. It is recommended you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
