DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

DTC No. CONSULT screen terms DTC detection condition
U2152 87 CAN communication error (ADAS control unit) Diagnosis condition When ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal) CAN communication signal
Threshold Not receiving from ADAS control unit 2.
Diagnosis delay time 2 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • CAN communication system

  • ADAS control unit 2

FAIL-SAFE

The following functions are suspended. (Without Telematics System)

Drive mode selector function

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING

If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

GO TO 2.

CHECK DTC DETECTION

With CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch OFF to ON.

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to wait of 10 seconds after ignition switch OFF or ON.

  2. Perform self-diagnosis for “CHASSIS CONTROL”.

Is DTC “U2152-87” detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

With CONSULT

  1. Erase self-diagnosis result for “CHASSIS CONTROL”.

  2. Ignition switch OFF and wait for 10 seconds or more.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Perform self-diagnosis for “CHASSIS CONTROL”.

Is DTC “U2152-87” detected?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

INSPECTION END

CHECK ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 SYSTEM (1)

With CONSULT

  1. Erase self-diagnosis result for “ICC/ADAS 2”.

  2. Ignition switch OFF and wait for 10 seconds or more.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Perform self-diagnosis for “ICC/ADAS 2”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Check the DTC.

  • Without ProPILOT Assist 2.1: Refer to DTC Index.

  • With ProPILOT Assist 2.1: Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 SYSTEM (2)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect ADAS control unit 2 harness connector.

  3. Check ADAS control unit 2 harness connector terminals (CAN communication line) for damage or loose connection.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair / replace harness, connector, or terminal. GO TO 4.

ERASE SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULT

With CONSULT

  1. Connect ADAS control unit 2 harness connector.

  2. Erase self-diagnosis result for “CHASSIS CONTROL”.

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait for 10 seconds or more.
